The Great English Golf Boom 1864-1914, A History

Mike Morrison has recently been shortlisted for the 2022 Murdoch Medal, for his book The Great English Golf Boom, 1864-1914: A History, which was published in 2020. The Murdoch Medal is presented by the British Golf Collectors Society and it is awarded each year to the person the Society believes has contributed the most to the history and heritage of golf. The early development of golf, for good reason, has traditionally been viewed from a Scottish perspective. But English golf has a history too. It is a different story, and it is one that is told in this book. The book consists of 320 pages, including over 200 illustrations, charts and maps and is published in hardback and colour, with a price of £25.
