President’s Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Cambridge University Golf Club of which I am delighted to be President in succession to the wonderful Roger Mosey. CUGC is one of the oldest clubs in English Golf and we welcome all University golfers, supporters and friends very warmly.

I am the Bursar at Trinity Hall (formerly at Corpus), an alumnus of Queens’ and an enthusiastic but erratically driving member at Worlington so the University and golf run through my veins.

We want everyone to enjoy their golfing experience at Cambridge, this is a friendly and inclusive club which benefits from the immense support of the Oxford and Cambridge Golfing Society. We also enjoy a century long and deeply appreciated relationship with Worlington, not only due to the wonderful golf and atmosphere but also thanks to having a home course which plays so well during the autumn and winter when much of our season is played. To both of these crucial supporters we extend our deepest thanks.

Representative golf at Cambridge affords an extraordinary opportunity to play the great courses of the country in friendly competition, with the strong competitive spur of the Varsity Match always driving the teams on to bring the season to a fitting climax.

Good luck with all your golf at Cambridge and I look forward to seeing you on the course.

Best Wishes,

Tim Harvey-Samuel, CUGC President
