As with the Blues, the Stymies benefit from the CUGC’s long-standing relationship with the Royal Worlington & Newmarket Golf Club. Worlington is a 9-hole course, but has long been reputed to be among the best of its kind in Britain and is ranked among the top 100 courses in the country. In addition to offering a stern, fair and fun test of golf, it also offers quality practice facilities. Members of the Stymies, together with the Blues, regularly travel to Worlington during the week for informal team practice and playing sessions. We also receive regular team coaching from Ben Kerr, the head professional at Worlington, all of which is paid for by the CUGC. Ben offers additional individual coaching to those interested at reduced rates. The Stymies squad also benefits from the support of Gog Magog Golf Club, where early weekday practice sessions regularly occur.
